It acts as electrogenerated chemiluminescence derivatization reagent for carboxylic acid in HPLC. 2-(2-Aminoethyl)-1-Methylpyrrolidine is a versatile pharmaceutical intermediate that can be replaced by hydrogen on nitrogen into a range of new drugs, most of which are 5-HT receptors, to treat insomnia, headache, depression and schizophrenia.
