2'-Aminoacetophenone (CAS: 551-93-9) is an aromatic ketone that is acetophenone in which one of the ortho hydrogens of the phenyl group has been replaced by an amino group. 2'-Aminoacetophenone is an important fine chemical intermediate, which is used as an intermediate of oil-soluble couplers. 2'-Aminoacetophenone is an impurity of Linagliptin. Linagliptin is an oral, highly selective inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and is the first agent of its class to be eliminated predominantly via a nonrenal route. Linagliptin is indicated for once daily use for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
