It is a non-volatile, air-stable, and readily soluble reagent, which can be used either stoichiometrically or catalytically with a suitable co-oxidant.
A mild oxidant for the selective transformation of primary alcohols to aldehydes and secondary alcohols to ketones.
TPAP is used in sustainable oxidation reactions and has potential for chemical recycling.
TPAP can be used as a catalyst, can also be used as an oxidizing reagent.
