Rolapitant Hydrochloride Hydrate is used for the prevention of delayed nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of emetogenic cancer chemotherapy. Rolapitant Hydrochloride Hydrate, originally discovered by Schering-Plough and later developed by TESARO, Inc., was approved by the FDA in September 2015 for the prevention of delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) in combination with other antiemetic agents.
