Storage in original sealed container. Keep the container tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry (10-30℃) and well-ventilated warehouse away from incompatible substances. Protect from moisture, avoid fire and heat sources; avoid foreign material.
General information: The product is highly sensitive to moisture and react with water to form carbon dioxide and insoluble ureas. The containers must therefore be kept tightly sealed. The ingress of water in any form (damp containers, anhydrous solvents, moist air) must be prevented as otherwise the formation of carbon dioxide may cause a dangerous increase in pressure inthe containers. Exposure to air and/or light accelerates red coloring but this has no effect on the processing properties in general. Due to extended storage solids may settle to the bottom. These must bedispersed by vigorous shaking or stirring.

The lapse of the 12 months period does not necessarily mean that the product no longer meets specifications or the set values. However, prior to using said product, Ruifu Chemical recommends to test such a product if it still meets the specifications or the set values. Ruifu Chemical does not make any representation regarding the product after the lapse of the 12 months period and Ruifu Chemical shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the product failing to meet specifications or the set values after the lapse of the 12 months period.

Desmodur RE is a solution of Triphenylmethane-4,4',4''-Triisocyanate in Ethyl Acetate. It is highly effective crosslinker for adhesives based on Desmocoll®, natural or synthetic rubber with special adhesion on rubber materials. Designed for solvent-borne, contact adhesives, heat activated and moisture resistant adhesives. Shelf life of Desmodur RE is 12 months.
After adding Desmodur RE, the ready-to-use two-component adhesive mustbe used within its pot life. This is not only governed by the polymer contentof the adhesive but also by its other components (resins, antioxidants,plasticisers, solvents, etc.). At the end of the pot life, usually several hours orone working day, the adhesive becomes in-creasingly difficult to work and itsviscosity increases rapidly. Finally, irreversible gelling occurs.The following guide values can be used in determining the addition by weight.To crosslink 100 pbw adhesive:

4 - 7 pbw Desmodur RE
(polyurethane content approx. 20%)

Desmodur RC: Crosslinker for solventborne polyurethane and polychloroprene adhesives. It is a light-colored product with a slower cure than Desmodur RE or RFE.
