Amino acids and derivatives, used in peptide synthesis, used as an organic synthesis intermediate, pharmaceutical intermediate, can be used as a chiral intermediate, biochemical reagent or chemical reagent, also used in food industry, feed industry.
Lysine is one of the most important amino acids, and the amino acid industry has become an industry of considerable scale and importance. Lysine is mainly used in food and feed. It is used as a feed nutrition fortifier, which is an essential component of livestock and poultry nutrition. It has the functions of enhancing the appetite of livestock and poultry, improving disease resistance, promoting wound healing, improving meat quality, and enhancing gastric juice secretion.
D-Lysine is a kind of D-form amino acid (not the natural amino acid in organisms, which is in L-form). It is often supplied to animal feed. D-Lysine is used as a component of polymers (poly-D-lysine), surfactants and biofilms to confer a positive (cationic) charge. The poly-D-lysine can be used to facilitate the attachment of proteins and cells to solid surface through enhancing the electrostatic interaction between negatively-charged ion of the cell membrane and the positively-charged ions of the culture surface. In histochemical field, it is used to coat slides to promote cell attachment.
