Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate is mainly used in plastic and rubber industries as ethylene- acrylic copolymer, ABS, acrylic acid sheet material, tubing, fiberglass enganced polyester, PVC, ion exchange resin. The polymer containing it has increasing rigidity, heat-resistant, weathering resistance, solvent resistance and improving frictional ability, in addition, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate can be also used as dentistry material, latex copolymer, paper making, rubber modification, adhesive, printing ink, and crosslinking agent of optical polymer.
Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate is used as a functional monomer for polymers and as a cross linking agent between the molecular chains of polymers and elastomers. It is also used in free radical copolymer cross linking reactions.
