Fmoc N-Hydroxysuccinimide Ester (Fmoc-OSu) (CAS: 82911-69-1), N-protecting reagent for oligonucleotide and peptide synthesis. Reagent for the preparation of pure Fmoc amino acids free from contamination by Fmoc-dipeptides. Fmoc-OSu is used in conjunction with Isothiocyanate to conduct partial Edman Degradation on biologically active peptides.
Used as an amino acid protectant, pharmaceutical intermediate. Amino acid derivatization reagent, fluorescence detection, the reagent is stable, no dipeptide and tripeptide impurities and the reaction speed is faster. Very efficient selective reagent for the preparation of hydroxy amino acid derivative N-(9-fluoroethylmethoxycarbonyl); for glycopeptide synthesis.
Most efficient reagent for the selective preparation of N-(9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl) derivatives of hydroxy-amino acids in high yield. Dipeptide formation is lower than with the chloroformate, Fmoc-Cl. It has been employed in the synthesis of glycopeptides.
