Isophytol (CAS: 505-32-8) is a diterpenoid eicosaic unsaturated ene tertiary alcohol consisting of four isoprene molecules connected end to end. The pure isophytoalcohol is a colorless oily liquid. It is combustible, insoluble in water, and easily soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ketones. Isophytol is the main raw material for the production of vitamin E and vitamin K, especially for the production of vitamin E, the demand is the largest, and the domestic production and quality have been significantly improved.
