Isoxepac (CAS: 55453-87-7) is an intermediate of Olopatadine Hydrochloride (CAS: 140462-76-6). Olopatadine Hydrochloride is a mast cell histamine release inhibitor and a selective H1 receptor antagonist. Olopatadine Hydrochloride tablets/capsules are used for allergic rhinitis, urticaria, pruritus (eczema, dermatitis, pruritus, psoriasis vulgaris, exudative erythema multiforme). Olopatadine Hydrochloride eye drops are used to treat the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. Olopatadine Hydrochloride is an anti-allergic drug. It has the dual effects of inhibiting the release of histamine and selectively antagonizing HI receptors, and has no central nervous system inhibition and cardiac toxic side effects that are common with HI receptor antagonist antiallergic drugs. The drug can not only inhibit the release of histamine from mast cells, but also antagonize H1 receptors more selectively, and has no effect on α adrenergic receptors, dopamine receptors, and M1 and M2 receptors. Among them, the side effects of the central nervous system are few, is a new generation of antiallergic drugs of choice.
