4-Methoxy-3,5-Dimethyl-2-Pyridinemethanol, also known as Omeprazole Hydroxy Compound, (CAS: 86604-78-6) is an intermediate of Omeprazole (CAS: 73590-58-6). Omeprazole is mainly used for duodenal ulcer and Zollinger-Ehrle syndrome. It can also be used for gastric ulcer and reflux esophagitis; intravenous injection can be used for the treatment of acute bleeding in peptic ulcer. Combine with amoxicillin and clindamycin or metronidazole and clarithromycin to kill Helicobacter pylori. 1. Peptic ulcer bleeding and anastomotic ulcer bleeding; 2. Acute gastric mucosal injury complicated by stress and acute gastric mucosal injury caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; 3. Prevention of severe diseases (such as cerebral hemorrhage, severe trauma, etc.) stress state and upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by gastric surgery; 4. As an alternative when oral therapy is not appropriate for duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, reflux esophagitis, and zollinger-ellison syndrome; 5. Applied in pharmaceutical filed, drugs inhibiting gastric acid secretion.
