FAQ:

Application:

Pantoprazole Sodium (CAS: 138786-67-1) is an orally active and proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses the final step in gastric acid production by covalently binding to the (H+, K+)-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. Pantoprazole sodium, a substituted benzimidazole, is a potent H+/K+-ATPase inhibitor with an IC50 of 6.8 μM. Pantoprazole sodium improves pH stability and has anti-secretory, anti-ulcer activities. Pantoprazole is used to treat: Short-Term Treatment of Erosive Esophagitis Associated with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) Maintenance of Healing of Erosive Esophagitis Pathological Hypersecretory Conditions Including Zollinger-Ellison (ZE) Syndrome.
