Ruthenium(III) Chloride Hydrate (CAS: 14898-67-0), 1. It is a precursor used to make heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. Very commonly used starting material in Ruthenium chemistry. 2. Electroplating, electrolysis anode. 3. Important chemical raw materials such as electronics industry. 3. Used for the selective hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes. 4. Used with aluminum tri-sec-butoxide to prepare a nanoparticulate catalyst for acceptor-free dehydrogenation of alcohols to aldehydes and ketones. It is utilized in the preparation of nanoparticulate ruthenium-aluminum oxyhydroxide catalyst, which is efficient for dehydrogenation of alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes. 5. It is also involved in the synthesis of 2-ethyl-3-methylquinolines from primary aromatic amines and triallylamine.
