Sodium 4-Aminosalicylate Dihydrate (CAS: 6018-19-5) is an antibiotic used to treat tuberculosis via NF-κB inhibition and free radical scavenging. Antibacterial, tuberculostatic. Sodium 4-Aminosalicylate Dihydrate is commonly used as an anti-tuberculosis drug. It is suitable for pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Because tuberculosis bacilli can quickly develop resistance to it when used alone, it is often combined with streptomycin and isoniazid, and is mainly used as a second-line anti-tuberculosis drug.
