Sodium Deoxycholate (Deoxycholic Acid Sodium Salt) (CAS: 302-95-4), Reagents for Preparing Animal Disease Models. Reagent grade, suitable for molecular biology. Sodium Desoxycholate is a bile acid formed by bacterial action from cholate. It is usually conjugated with glycine or taurine. Deoxycholic acid acts as a detergent to solubilize fats for intestinal absorption, is reabsorbed itself, and is used as a choleretic and detergent.
(1) Historically Sodium Desoxycholate was used as an intermediate for the production of corticosteroids, which have anti-inflammatory indications.
(2) Sodium Desoxycholate is used in the preparation and formulation of certain microbiological diagnostic media.
(3) An emerging use of Sodium Desoxycholate is as a biological detergent to lyse cells and solubilise cellular and membrane components. Used as a component in cell lysis buffers.
(4) Sodium Desoxycholate popular anionic, bile-acid detergent for many laboratory uses
(5) Sodium Desoxycholate effective in disrupting and dissociating many types of protein interaction
(6) Sodium Desoxycholate is useful for elution or regeneration of certain kinds of affinity columns
(7) Sodium Desoxycholate is most frequently used as a component of cell lysis buffers (e.g., RIPA buffer), and also has been used for liposome preparation, isolation of membrane proteins and lipids, preventing nonspecific binding in affinity chromatography and a cell culture media supplement.
(8) Sodium Desoxycholate is useful for the extraction of membrane receptors, plasma membrane proteins, nuclei isolation and solubilizes fats as well as membrane components.
(9) In addition, Sodium Desoxycholate acts as a catalyst in the preparation of protein extracts for immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation of radiolabeled proteins.
Specific Rotation
Take this product, precision weighing, add water to dissolve_quantitative dilution to make about 20mg per lm l solution, according to the law (General 0621), specific rotation of 40.0° to 45.0°.
302-95-4 - Differential diagnosis
Take 10 mg of this product, add 1 drop of sulfuric acid lm l and formaldehyde to dissolve, place for 5 minutes, then add 5ml of water to generate blue-green suspended matter.
The infrared absorption spectrum of this product should be consistent with that of the reference substance of sodium deoxycholate (General Rule 0402).

302-95-4 - Exam
Sodium
Take an appropriate amount of sodium standard solution and dilute it quantitatively with water to make each 1 ml containing 0.16jLtg and 0. 4 Net, 0. 8 ^ tg. 1.0/ig, 1. 2pg solution, as a reference solution; Take this product 0.14g, precision weighing, platinum crucible, slowly heated to complete carbonization, cool, add sulfuric acid 0 .5M l to wet, low temperature heating to sulfuric acid vapor removal after burning at 600℃ to a white gray matter, cool, precision Force 1 into hydrochloric acid lm l dissolved and quantitatively transferred to 100ml measuring flask, diluted with water to the scale, shake, precision take lm l 100ml measuring flask, diluted with water to the scale, as a test solution. The blank solution was prepared by the same method, and was measured and calculated at the wavelength of 589.0 nm by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (General Rule 0406 first method). Based on the dry product, the sodium content should be 5.0%~6.1%.
Clarity and color of solution
Take 0.5g of this product, Add 10ml of water to dissolve, check according to law (General rule 0901 and General Rule 0902 ) , the solution should be clear and colorless. In case of color development, it shall not be deeper than the yellow No. 1 Standard Colorimetric solution (General rule 0901).
