For example, uses it to make small-molecule inhibitors of 3-phosphoinositide-dependentkinase(PDK1), developed by Novartis of Switzerland, a compound used to treat cell proliferation diseases. Novartis has proposed a two-step process for the preparation of 4-Bromo-2-nitrobenzaldehyde from 4-Bromo-2-nitrobenzoic acid.
