Trimethoxyphenylsilane is prepared from phenyltrichlorosilane and anhydrous methanol (phenyltrichlorosilane is added with anhydrous methanol at high temperature, after adding, reflux acid extraction and neutralization, and pressure filter packaging). Trimethoxyphenylsilane is a functional silane with a phenyl group and a reactive methoxy group. It perform excellently even under high temperature conditions, and form chemical bonds to various inorganic substrates. Trimethoxyphenylsilane is used as an organosilicate compound for nanoelectronics and material science research. It is used as crosslinking agent for silicone resin and to produce polymer organic silicon compound. It can be also used as cross-linking agent of silicon resins, as well as the raw materials of phenyl silicone oil and silicone rubber. Phenyl functional silane can improve thermal stability of other silanes. Phenyl functional silane can be used as other silanes and siloxanes intermediates. Phenyl functional silane can be used for hydrophobic surface treatment. Phenyl functional silane can be used as hydrophobic additive to other silane coupling agents.
