Vanadyl Acetylacetonate (CAS: 3153-26-2), Catalyst for the hydroxyl-directed epoxidation of olefins, Catalyst for the asymmetric oxidation of disulfides, Catalyst for the Mannich reaction, Catalyst for sulfoxidation of alkanes. Vanadyl Acetylacetonate is used as a catalyst in organic chemistry and is also an intermediate in synthetic reactions, such as the synthesis of novel oxovanadium complexes that display antitumor activity. Employed as a catalyst, as a synthesis intermediate, as a paint dryer, and as a pigment. It is used in organic chemistry as a reagent in the epoxidation of allylic alcohols in combination with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP). Vanadyl Acetylacetonate, as a common organometallic compound, is widely used as oxidation catalyst, catalyst precursor, medicine, coating desiccant, pigment and so on. As an oxidation catalyst, Vanadyl Acetylacetonate can be combined with tert-butyl hydrogen peroxide and other oxidants, which can be rapidly oxidized to a homogeneous pentavalent vanadium compound, so as to effectively oxidize a variety of organic functional groups, such as amine oxidation to nitro group, thioether oxidation to sulfoxide, olefin epoxidation and other reactions.
